TGF-β1, human recombinant
Human Transforming Growth Factor beta 1 is a member of the TGF beta superfamily (TGF beta 1-5). Members of this family are known to exhibit regulatory activity in immunity and proliferation. It signals activity through Smad proteins via the TGF-b1 R1 & R2 receptors. Mature TGF beta 1 is a homodimeric protein consisting of two polypeptide chains.
