Positive Primer Set 8

Positive Primer Set 8 amplifies a 78 base pair fragment of the Interleukin-8 gene, found on human chromosome 4. IL-8 is a pro-inflammatory chemokine, whose increased expression correlates with the progression of cancer. It is a positive gene target for the nuclear transcription factor NF-kB.
