IL-17A/F, human recombinant
Heterodimeric interleukin-17A/F is a member of the IL-17 family of six homodimeric proteins (IL-17A-17F). Recent IL-17A/IL-17F co-expression studies in HEK-293 cells revealed the presence of a biologically active heterodimer, IL-17A/F. Activated CD4+ T cells have also been shown to produce human IL-17A/F. Activity studies reveal hIL-17A to be the most potent, followed by hIL-17A/F and hIL-17F 100 fold lower than hIL-17A. IL-17A/F is thought to induce neutrophilia and chemokine expression via the IL-17RA receptor. Recombinant human IL-17A/F is a heterodimeric non-glycosylated polypeptide comprised of one monomeric subunit each of h-IL-17A and h-IL-17F.
