LIF (animal free), mouse recombinant
Mouse Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF) is member of the IL-6 family and is made by a variety of tissues. LIF signals through receptors gp190 (LIFR) and gp130 to activate STAT3 which ultimately promotes mouse embryonic stem cell self-renewal and pluripotentcy of long term cultures. This activity is similar to that attributed to FGF-basic (FGF-2) for human embryonic stem cells. Recombinant mouse LIF is a non-glycosylated protein. Animal Free: This product is produced with no animal-derived raw products, animal free equipment and animal free protocols.

Leukocyte Inhibitory Factor
-20°C
Produced using animal free raw components and processes, in a non-mammalian system. Ideal for researchers concerned about the risks and effects of contaminating viruses, prions and trace growth factors from FBS and animal-derived ingredients used in standard recombinant protein production techniques. Endotoxin levels are less than 1.0 EU per ug protein via LAL. Bioactivity is comparable to recombinant protein produced in traditional techniques.
