BDS-I is a selective blocker of Kv3.4 channel. BDS-1 is a 43 amino acid peptide which was originally isolated from the venom of the sea anemona Anemonia Viridis. BDS-1 is a highly selective blocker of the voltage-gated potassium channel Kv3.4/ KCNC4 expressed in various tissues (purkinje, vascular smooth muscle cells). The reversible blockage is rapid and direct. It was observed that BDS-1 also slows the inactivation of the heteromeric Kv3.4/Kv3.1 and homomeric Kv3.1 and Kv3.2.

  • Applications:Potassium channel blocker
