MgCl2 solution is used for adjusting Mg2+ concentration in PCR assay. It can be used in combination with PCR buffers that come with FIREPol® and HOT FIREPol® which are all MgCl2 free). In most applications, a final concentration of 1,5 mM MgCl2 is optimal for a satisfactory yield. In some cases, MgCl2 titration is needed for a better yield and specificity.
