Mayflower Bioscience distributes fluorescent biosensors and probes for cell based assays

Mayflower Bioscience has entered into a distribution agreement with Montana Molecular who have developed genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors and probes for cell-based assays and live cell imaging for drug discovery and cell signaling research. Biosensors are available for cAMP, DAG, PIP2, and Ca2+, as well as a fluorescent voltage sensing protein, ArcLight. Assays are packaged in BacMam for efficient introduction into a wide range of cell types. Assays are available with either red or green fluorescence sensors for simultaneous detection of multiple biomarkers for complex signaling pathways analysis. These live cell assays provide more information about biological responses, and streamline drug discovery by making it easier to observe multiple outcomes of a pathway and highlighting possible adverse effects earlier in the process. The fluorescent sensors are effective and reliable, robust enough for detection by any fluorescent plate reader and specific enough to be able to target specific organelles or distinct cell populations.
